Experiencing racism at school by teachers, pupils, and around the town?
I moved 4 years ago to Europe, and I've been nothing but kind and open minded to people. I'm American, and I know this will sound stupid and I will probably get racist comments on this, but racist comments against me have been wearing me out lately. It's made me not want to go out much, and I've considered home schooling. People are always saying bad things about Americans in front of me like they are trying to annoy me. I know America has it's flaws, but I'm just a regular person trying to get by, and I cannot help where I was born. If I could I definitely would not choose to be American. I have hardly any friends here, and even the teachers will p casual racist comments about Americans and it gets so disheartening after a while. I've been listening to stupid snide remarks for 4 years. Even most of my extended family dislikes Americans. It's made me feel down and I have no choice but to live here for the moment. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you all.
