Moving to Cardiff, please help me out.?

Riverside and Butetown are areas around the centre which are rough type of areas.I would not recommend grangetown either ,cathays is a lively student area,roath park is a nice area but a 15 minite journey to the station.The bus central station is opposite the railway station. Cardiff bay has had a major transformation though and you might like that area.
