Kidney osmoregulation?

Osmoregulation nearly take place in collecting duct. When we have drank a lot of water,collecting duct would absorb less water. When we need water, collecting duct would absorb more water by osmosis. However, when the urine reach the collecting duct, they should have became concentrated with salt and urea so how the water can be absorbed by osmosis in collecting duct?
