Man... you gotta contact the authorities. Why the hell hasn't your mom done that yet? You seriously can't just "ride out the storm" because if you just let it go, she could end up God only knows where later on in life. You referred to her as a friend... so treat her like one. Help her. Do you want to see her become a star? or end up in a straight jacket and a padded room? a prostitute? another suicide statistic? It could all happen man. Call the police. They'll let you remain anonymous. I don't think you realize how much of a tragedy this really is. It's HUGE man. Do her a favor and contact the police.
